Security

Your knowledge, with you in control.

A private space for what you save, thoughtful protections for your data, and clear choices about who can access it.

A familiar, secure sign-in

Use an available sign-in option. Email and password sign-in, when enabled, requires email verification and stores a password hash. Google sign-in remains available without creating a Save2Brain password.

A library that stays private

Your saved learnings and files belong to your account. Access checks help keep your private library separate from other people’s libraries.

AI access you control

Choose what your connected AI can read, set an expiry date, and stop future access whenever you need to. Your AI connection is read-only.

Who can read my saved knowledge?

Your library is private to your account. A connected AI can read only what you allow, such as selected Collections or your whole library.

Your saves are processed using the services needed to create and store your learnings. The privacy policy explains the service providers, data handling, and your rights.

How is my content protected?

Save2Brain checks account permissions before opening learnings or private files. Database protections also separate each account’s records, and private file links are checked and expire after a short time.

Saved text, files, and AI-generated content are treated as material to learn from. They cannot change your account permissions or give themselves access to your library.

Private source and learning content, passwords, access keys, prompts, and private links are kept out of application activity logs.

How do I stay in control of my AI connection?

In Agent Access, choose what your AI can read and when permission expires. Revoke access to stop future reads. Information already received by an AI tool cannot be recalled by revoking the connection.

Connections currently use a compatible AI tool running through a local setup on your computer. They can search and read permitted learnings; they cannot edit your library or save new sources. Remote connections are not currently available.

Can I export my data or delete my account?

Yes. Use Settings to request a private data export or start verified account deletion. Deletion revokes access, stops new processing, and starts cleanup of your account data and private files.

If you have a paid subscription, cancel it and wait for your account to return to Free before deleting the account. See billing help for the steps and the privacy policy for retention details.

What if I run Save2Brain myself?

This page describes the hosted Save2Brain service. If you run your own copy, you are responsible for its sign-in setup, data storage, connected services, updates, access, and backups.

What should I know about security assurances?

We describe the protections built into Save2Brain so you can make an informed choice. We do not currently claim independent security certification or a third-party security audit, or offer a published uptime guarantee or service-level agreement. No security method is perfect.
